# Find the right companies, and write to each one in our own voice.

OCTYN finds its own next clients by email, and a first email worth reading takes research per company. forward finds and researches each company, drafts the first email in our own voice, and holds every one in a review queue until a person approves it.

## Architecture

- **Find**: Companies that match the criteria are found and checked against everyone already found, so no one is written to twice.
- **Research**: Each company’s site and recent activity are read for something worth opening with.
- **Draft**: A first email is drafted in our own voice, from what the research found.
- **Review**: Every draft sits in a queue with its company, its sending mailbox and its status, for a person to approve, edit, skip or reschedule.
- **Send**: Approved emails go out from warmed mailboxes under a daily cap; follow-ups wait for the same approval.

Boundary (a person approves): forward finds, researches and drafts. A person approves every email before it sends; nothing goes out on its own.

## Scope

Built and run as our own: the finding, research, drafting, review queue and send engine.

## Anonymized

The screenshot is from a local copy on sample companies. Sender names, place names and our email template are replaced; no real company or message appears.

## The situation

Finding the right company to write to starts with criteria someone holds in their head: the kind of business, its size, the signal that makes it worth a message. Applying that by hand, one company at a time, takes real time per company found.

Even once a company is found, a first email that isn’t generic means reading what it does and what it has said lately. At OCTYN’s own scale, that research step decides whether outreach happens at all this week.
