CompareOCTYN vs GumloopChecked

Gumloop alternatives when the agent everyone uses belongs to one person.

Gumloop alternatives are worth a look once the agents your team built for itself turn into work the company depends on. A team that knows its tasks and has time to build should stay on Gumloop. A company that would rather hand the building and the running to someone should look at a system its builders also run.

How it startsA mapping call, then a paid Consult that maps the work, measures a baseline and ends in one fixed quote.A free trial of fourteen days on Pro, a demo booked from the site, or a talk with sales for Enterprise.

How it is pricedOne fixed price for the build, in writing, after the Consult, then a monthly fee to run it.Pro has a monthly price with 20,000 credits and an orchestration fee of 8%. Enterprise is priced with sales.

Who owns itYour data, specs, configuration and code. With a VPC deployment, the about page says you own storage outright, including every agent trace.

who builds the agents, and who keeps them right. Two columns. Gumloop: a trial or a demo; your team builds agents; credits each month; agents review their own runs. OCTYN: a paid Consult maps the work; one fixed price, in writing; the builders run it; kept current after launch.

The meeting prep agent in a Gumloop workspace usually belongs to whoever got fed up with opening five tabs before every call, long after half the sales team leans on it. Then that person moves teams, and the agent keeps running on instructions only its builder ever read. Weigh Gumloop alternatives by who keeps an agent right once its builder stops looking.

Gumloop, in its own words

The about page calls Gumloop the multiplayer AI agent builder, one that lets anyone at a company build agents with any model and any integration while IT controls access and spend. If you can explain the task in plain language, it says, you can build the agent. On the home page, each agent reviews its own runs and fixes what slowed down or cost too much, and admins can move a member's agents and triggers to a teammate in one go.

The pricing page lists two plans.

PlanWhat the pricing page says
Proa monthly price, a free trial of fourteen days, 20,000 credits a month that do not roll over
Enterprisepriced with sales, with role based access, audit logs and high touch support

Credits pay for model tokens and paid tool calls, plus an orchestration fee of 8% on the list cost, or 16% when you bring your own model keys. Spend past the monthly credits and the agents stop working until someone turns on pay as you go, which is off by default. For help, the expert directory lists vetted outside experts ready to assist.

How the alternatives differ

Another agent builder is the first kind. If the tool is the trouble and your team still wants to build, compare tools. An expert from that directory keeps the agents on Gumloop and moves the building to someone outside.

The third kind changes who carries the work once it is live. A system built around one company's operation is run by the people who built it, which is what OCTYN does. Part of that job is deciding which steps should have a model in them at all. In outreach OCTYN runs for a craft retailer, the first sender was driven by a model, and it reported a send that had never happened. Sending there now has no intelligence in it, and every send is confirmed.

When Gumloop is the better choice

Gumloop is the better choice when the people who know the work want to build the agents themselves and have the time to keep them current. A company that needs its data kept inside its own network can, according to the enterprise page, deploy Gumloop in its own cloud environment and cap spend for each agent.

OCTYN is the wrong call for a company too early to have an operation to map, or for one whose whole need is a single agent that one person will use and look after. That belongs on a trial.

How OCTYN works

OCTYN is an intelligent systems firm. Work starts with a mapping call and then a paid Consult, which maps the work as it runs today, measures a baseline and ends in one fixed price for the build, in writing, with a monthly fee to run it. The people who map the system build it and keep it current, and your data, specs and code remain yours. The page on what a system gives back runs your own numbers, and other products sit on the firms compared page.

Meanwhile, somebody still has the five tabs bookmarked.

The first conversation is with the people who would build it. If there is a fit, the Consult comes next.
