Is a product system just a wrapper around a model API?
A product system is the intelligence inside an application. It takes input such as voice, text or events, turns it into structured meaning, remembers each user, and decides and acts inside limits the product team sets. Results return through an API the product already calls, and OCTYN re-sets it as the underlying models move.
In one lineThe intelligence inside a product, acting only within set limits.
Why it matters to you
The question worth asking is where memory and judgement live. A model on its own has no memory between calls and no limits of its own; a product system keeps each user's context, and it only decides and acts inside boundaries the product team has set.
Results come back through the API the product already calls, so nothing changes for the team writing the interface. What changes underneath is tested and kept current as the models move, so the product keeps working while the parts under it change.
This fits a product team that needs voice, memory or decisions inside its application and wants it run after launch. A team that only needs a model API is better served calling the vendor directly; there is nothing here for that team to buy.
What it is not
A product system is not a chatbot bolted onto a product, and it is more than a model API key. It turns input into structured meaning, remembers each user, and stays inside limits the product team sets.
